REGULAR MEETING MINUTES

THURSDAY, MARCH 23, 2007

 

 

The regular meeting of the Handy Township Planning Commission was called to order in the Handy Township Boardroom by Vice-Chairman Colston at 7:30 P.M.  Members present: Redinger, Elliott and Krebs.  Absent: Hummel.  Also present:  Attorney Kehoe, Zoning Administrator Anderson, Carlisle/Wortman-John Enos and resident Cindy Krebs.

 

Approval of Agenda

MOTION REDINGER SUPPORT KREBS TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS PRESENTED.  MOTION CARRIED.

 

Matters Pertaining to the General Citizenry               None

 

Business Session

A)    Planning Commission Regular Meeting Minutes of 2-22-07

Clarify motions on election of officers.

MOTION ELLIOTT SUPPORT REDINGER TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 22, 2007 AS AMENDED.  MOTION CARRIED.

 

Old Business

A)    Barn Signage

John Enos – Carlisle / Wortman presented new wording. Some minor changes are still needed, brief discussion followed concerning review process and fees.

MOTION REDINGER SUPPORT ELLIOTT TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 26, 2007 AT 7:30 P.M. FOR HISTORIC BARN SIGNAGE WITH PUBLICATION DATE OF APRIL 9, 2007.  MOTION CARRIED.

 

B)     Truck Terminal Requirements

John Enos – Carlisle / Wortman presented wording. Brief discussion concerning truck sizes, location of buildings and wording in item #7. 

MOTION KREBS SUPPORT ELLIOTT TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING

FOR TRUCK TERMINAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THURSDAY,

APRIL 26, 2007 AT 7:35 P.M. WITH PUBLICATION DATE OF APRIL 9, 2007. 

MOTION CARRIED.

 

C)     Master Plan Update

Brief discussion of Township Board’s review and recommendation.

MOTION ELLIOTT SUPPORT KREBS TO SEND THE HANDY

TOWNSHIP MASTER PLAN UPDATED LANGUAGE AND MAP TO

THE SURROUNDING MUNICIPALITIES AND AGENCIES AS REQUIRED

BY LAW.  MOTION CARRIED.
