SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
Thursday, August 14, 2008
The special meeting of the Handy Township Planning Commission was called to order in the Handy Township Boardroom by Chairman Hummel at 7:30 P.M. Members present: Redinger, Elliott and Krebs. Absent: Colston. Also present: Township Attorney-Kehoe, Zoning Administrator-Anderson, Wilcox Professional Services-Andy Harris, Aisin Corp.- Taka Konishi and Mack Yuasa, and Engineering Technologies-Ken Cousino.
Approval of Agenda
MOTION ELLIOTT SUPPORT REDINGER TO APPROVE THE AGENDA AS PRESENTED. MOTION CARRIED.
Matter Pertaining to the General Citizenry No response
Business Session
Minutes were not included in packet, will approve at next meeting.
Old Business
Discussed concerns of letter dated 8-1-08 from the Livingston County Drain Commission. Drain Commission office is responsible for making sure that the concerns are addressed. Andy Harris– Wilcox presented plans. Zoning Administrator would like to take pictures of the berm with the stabilizing blanket for files. Taka and Mack approved.
MOTION REDINGER SUPPORT ELLIOTT TO APPROVE THE FINAL SITE PLAN FOR AISIN PHASE 3 TUNNEL EXTENSION WITH THE CONDITION THAT THE CONCERNS ADDRESSED IN THE LIVINGSTON COUNTY DRAIN COMMISSION LETTER DATED 8-1-08 ON THE BERM SIDESLOPES ARE PROPERLY STABILIZED AND VEGETATED AND THAT $1,000 IS ADDED TO THE ESCROW TO COVER INSPECTIONS.
